North Fork at Briargate provided a great lifestyle within city limits but without the city hustle. North Fork has nearly 750 homes and provided all the great amenities families and residents enjoy about north Colorado Springs: shopping, dining, recreation, and of course the state’s leading district 20 schools, including Pine Creek High School and Encompass Heights Elementary School, within the community. The community featured a broad product range including single family homes, low maintenance patio homes, town homes and custom homes ranging in price from the upper $200’s to upper $600’s.

This 700-acre project surrounds the Pine Creek Golf Course and has about 1,500 homes. Pine Creek is a popular golf course community and was a very successful project in the late 90s and early 2000s. Development of Pine Creek was enhanced with incorporation of historical architectural styles and design guidelines. Attention to a broad market appeal was accomplished through implementation of project segmentation. The project was considered leading edge development in Colorado Springs in enhanced neighborhood planning, distinctive wall, fence landscaping design and treatments. The product range included attached single family to custom homes with prices from the low $200’s to a million plus.
In 1978, the Briargate Master Plan was developed to safeguard the vision, integrity and property values of the community. From the very start, all the elements needed to create a community were included and designed to be cohesive – the school sites, parks and open spaces, roads, social and cultural outlets and a wide range of housing choices. Today, the 9,600-acre master-planned community provides a carefully planned mix of land that offers opportunities to live, worship, work, and play to a wide range of individuals.
In September of 2005, the last new home closing in original Briargate occurred and ended an era of Colorado Springs history—giving way to new master planned communities developed by La Plata Communities.
